主人公盛宇铭是一个玩世不恭，却有着自己音乐梦想的盛谷集团少总裁，他就想开一场自己的演唱会，一个偶然的机会让他认识了一位平凡的女生夏璟馨，两人相识的过程中，被夏璟馨刺激的盛宇铭，他决定不在这么混下去，一定要做出一番事业，凭借自己的努力完成梦想，两人到最后成了一对相爱的恋人。。强尼摆脱了在爱尔兰罪恶的过去到伦敦隐名埋姓生活下来。不料他从前的黑帮伙伴弗林从布里克斯顿（伦敦南部一地区）监狱逃出，并且计划在一些地方放置炸弹以扰乱爱尔兰和平进程。由于一直无法逃离布里克斯顿地区，他们只好躲在强尼的住所藏身。不过在强尼居住的街区却是龙蛇混杂。他的楼上是一家非法音乐电台，而楼下是一名叫做朱利叶斯的西印度人贩。罪恶肮脏的环境像一个巨大的黑洞吸附着强尼身上原有的罪恶细胞。当善于交际的弗林与那些黑帮成员慢慢混熟时，强尼却在想尽办法脱身，不断的和自己的黑暗过去告别。然而，不幸的是他错误的爱上了人贩朱利叶斯的女友瑞塔，从而一场爱恨交织的血腥大混战开始了，其中夹杂着种族文化矛盾，帮派仇恨，人性的极端罪恶……。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
