该剧讲述了以方梦初（王一哲饰）、彭书望（叶祖新饰）、常笑（邬立朋饰）为主的一批来自不同行业、不同背景的青年人，机缘巧合聚集在绿野乡村共同创业，在建设新农村的过程中，也实现了各自的价值和梦想。。《家家有本難唸的經》是一齣講述家庭關係的倫理單元劇，十五集十五個故事，將父母與子女，爺與孫，夫與妻各種關係的悲歡離合展示出來。 如「教子無方」中兒子因不滿母親教導而離家出走；「子承父業」中的倫的木廠業務已上軌道，希望兒子拔繼承木廠業務，但拔無意承父業，引起兩代矛盾；「有子萬事足」中占母得知媳婦有孕，高興非常。她有多個女兒，所以希望阿奇生個男孩。奇母卻喜歡女兒生女孩，兩親家因而爭吵起來。各種故事從不同角度看家庭關係，結局每每發人深省。。Ricky, Julian and Bubbles bring their trailer park humor out onto the stage for a night of liquor, schemes and an intoxicated acting demo. The boys are at it again in the southern state of Texas. Bubbles is auditioning for a movie in Austin, TX and brings the boys with him.
