杜乘风作为酒店主厨，一个人撑起了一座酒店餐饮，但是刚回国的柳真真却要证明自己的能力，开除自认为偷奸耍滑的杜乘风。。一位即将退休老爸─黄金发（蔡振南饰）自认为凡事交给他都“大丈夫”（日语：だいじょうぶ，意思即“没问题” ），但是对上他的三个女儿与未来女婿，就不一定能“大丈夫”... 因为大女儿黄天岚（周晓涵饰）的男友许明陆（周孝安饰），正是黄金发的新上司，二女儿黄天虹（林昀希饰）的丈夫背叛天虹出轨，小女儿黄天祯（陈天仁饰）竟敢挑战禁忌谈上一场校园恋爱。。Plebs is described as "a thoroughly modern comedy in an ancient setting."
