豆芽菜是一个性格内向、自闭、惧怕上学的孩子，在父亲的威逼下，豆芽菜转学到了枫叶学校。在新学校，他看到了许多新奇的东西，有魔法师一般的化学老师，有美丽善良的美术老师，有武林高手一样的体育老师……。When he learns his days are numbered old count Hervé de Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to die there, just to annoy his heirs. As a result of his body not being found the latter will have to wait for five years until they can inherit the count's money. Very upsetting indeed, all the more as they are required to keep up the Kéraudren estate in the meantime.
