The story follows a struggling young couple chasing the American dream only to realize their worst nightmare when they discover a demonic spirit in their new home. Mammon is the biblical word for the worship of wealth, and the couple discover that getting rich can come at a hefty price.。半岛大厦天井，警员徐泰被发现时身负重伤，奄奄一息。同时，警方还在现场找到了昏迷不醒的督察凌光。结合近期发生的电钻杀人案，警方怀疑此案为同一凶手所为。凌光苏醒后失忆，导致其无法解释与徐泰相会之事，因此陈安哲等警员指责其为凶手。余总警司让他不要插手此案。凌光深感委屈，身边只剩好友阿鬼力挺。记事簿显示，凌光在案发时均在请假，他询问妻子希爱和养子仔仔希望唤起当时的记忆，无济于事。他的脑中不停闪现血腥场面，精神极度失控，不但冷淡妻儿，而且忽视了刚离婚的妹妹凌敏。收集证据时，凌光赫然发现，几名死者竟然跟自己有着特殊的关系，而且这背后还隐藏着更大的阴谋……。
