伊朗新年之前，小女孩纳西亚（艾达•莫哈默德哈尼 Aida Mohammadkhani 饰）随妈妈到集市购买过年用品，路过驯蛇人的摊位，发现众人围观，挤进去才发现他正在吆喝，要观众掏钱看蛇类表演，并贩卖肥大的金鱼。纳西亚很想买一只金鱼，但是因为家境贫寒，妈妈手里只有500图曼的过年钱，而一条鱼要100图曼，所以妈妈只得带着纳西亚回家。她本想用新年礼物跟妈妈讨价还价，但却被严词拒绝。失望的她只得拜托哥哥帮忙，结果哥哥说服了妈妈，把500图曼给了她。纳西亚把钱放进小鱼罐，兴冲冲地跑到养蛇人的摊位，准备满足心愿。然而事情在此突然发生了转机…… 本片获得第48届戛纳电影节金摄影机奖。。Back Stage is a 1919 comedy, one of the last films that Buster Keaton would appear with Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle before they went their separate ways, Keaton would get his own studio, and Arbuckle got into feature length films.
