影片讲述了一事无成的中年写手陈东南，因为一场车祸穿越到了二十年前，遇到了年轻的自己。为了弥补青春的遗憾，中年陈东南帮助青年陈东南勇敢追爱、奋力逆袭，并想尽办法拯救初恋沈黎，上演了一出啼笑皆非、阴差阳错的精彩故事。。故事发生在苏格兰的格拉斯哥，女主人公伊芙陷入了一对音乐家的感情关系当中~~。The story takes us back to 1889, in the wake of primary school teacher Louise Violet who is sent to a village in the French countryside to enforce Republic schooling (which is free, compulsory and secular).
